Slept in, waaaayyy in.
Began the day with God and read in Matthew.
Did very little while Hubby had a really productive day.
Tutored and arranged for next week.
Remembered to reply to a text from a friend.
Enjoyed storytime, snuggles and giggles with Sunny.
Enjoyed some telly with the Hubs.
Hope to do better tomorrow.
Using challenges from His Word and His gentle prodding,
to improve - mind, body, soul, home and marriage.

Day 69 - Review
Today I:
- Am too low and too tired and sick and sore and emotional to rehash exactly all I failed to do across the day or even all that managed to do
- Am choosing to go back to basics, to rethink what is important of my tasks/challenges and to KISS (keep it simple stupid)
- Updated daily do list posting to follow...

Day 68 - Review
Today I:
- Christmas Preparations
--- didn't discuss the Christmas card list but did get through the book people order with Hubby, all ready for me to place it tomorrow, I also did a quick look at amazon prices to compare and on my nephew's present alone it's a saving of over twelve pounds at less than a third the price or to put it another way - the set of three books through the book people costs less than one of the books on amazon!
- Grooming Goal
--- attended podiatric appointment
--- nibbled my fingernails
--- didn't cut/file Sunny's toenails
--- read "TDWYCP" (The 'Do What You Can' Plan) chapter five
--- what held me back before from these goals? How can I make progress? - nervousness, stress, quitting, not re-committing after I'd spoiled my nails again, progress through redirecting that nervousness into knitting/other handicrafts, writing through negative feelings, recognising that the pain of my nails will only serve to resurface negative feelings toward myself and bring me back to that nervous state time and again
- Half-hour Hope (laying out tomorrow's clothes/book people order)
- Cleaning Schedule - Tuesday (kitchen) - sink and some of the countertop done and made soup
- Attended podiatric appt. and as the silver nitrate did its work I hobbled back to the car with Sunny, trapped my finger painfully in the boot handle and then cried the whole way home in pain, so not my best day ever but back to the podiatrist on Friday again, again, again... Twenty-two months and counting!
- Prayed for Hubs as he took his first training session
- Tutored M (after giving Sunny an early tea)
- read a little more of my potty training e-book in preparation for beginning once we feel the little one is sufficiently over his operation, we cannot be DONE with nappies soon enough! EC has been great at allowing us to repsond to him (we take him at times we know he'll need to go and when he signs to go) and make him more comfortable but it isn't training, especially as I never fully embraced the whole naked baby/more possibility of accidents on the floor and chose instead to always keep Sunny in a nappy. To date our longest dry spell has been about thirteen hours and we're so proud of how well Sunny has done but I really believe that it's time for him to take the next step, he can and does hold it (especially in the early morning) and though he'll still need our help (with clothing etc.) I know he'll enjoy the responsibility and independence. He is already so proud of himself when he goes in the potty so this will just be the icing on the cake (I hope). Nineteen adorable little pairs of pants await him!
- spent a lot of time with my folks again today, think I'm trying to build up a bank of visits for both Sunny and I for when they're away. Three months is such a long stretch; I've only been without my parents for that length of time once before when I lived in Canada for three-and-a-half months, but since I was the one who was away on that occasion the loss wasn't as great. Sis#1 you better visit lots!!!
- Consistency Challenges
--- Beautifying (my soul through prayer time)
--- Frumps to Pumps (forgot to tweeze eyebrows)
--- Hydration (woo-hoo, met)
--- Say Grace before dinner (woo-hoo, remembered)
--- Smaller Portions (yep)
--- Sugar Fast (nope)
--- Tidying Time (virtual only)
--- Walk with Sunny (outside playing and around my parents' house then car to hospital and back, including through the park to see the ducks - baltic outside today)
- Daily Do List - all except
--- Catechism practice (25-26) - totally forgotten - oopsie
--- Moodscope
--- Prayer Sticks
--- Tutoring clear-up forgotten in the bedtime melée - oops

Day 66 - Review + CP (Take 3)
Today I:
- Christmas Preparations
--- didn't go through the Christmas card list with Hubby
--- wrote up the first draft of our Christmas letter insert with Hubs, it just needs some information added and permission sought to include a couple of tidbits
--- didn't type up any addresses but have the computer sitting ready for me to do so tomorrow, instead I sat with Hubby to enjoy Downton Abbey and "It's a Blas" uninterrupted as Sunny slept peacefully in the next room
- needed to focus on the following Daily Do List items and I:
--- did commit the day to God in prayer though not quite first thing
--- did lay out tomorrow's clothes
--- didn't even think about Moodscope until I sat down to type this review
--- didn't think of my Quiet Time either! Not good and the only thing I really need to focus on tomorrow
- repacked the baby bag for Sunny's hospital appointment in the morning
- showered and shaved and quickly dried my hair, as a result we were a little late to church BUT I'm ready to face the week ahead and I didn't look like I'd been dragged through a bush backwards
- finished going through the book people magazines but will need to cull the virtual shopping basket contents (Mum too) before we're ready to place out order (either tomorrow or Tuesday)
- Grooming Goal
--- kept from biting my nails, though still suffering from the nibbling of earlier in the week
--- cleaned toe in the shower and then applied iodine before redressing it (looking forward?! to my Tuesday appt. as it's SO painful)
- Half-hour Hope (quick house tidy up, laid out my clothes, repacked baby bag, made myself some supper)
- Beautifying (showered and shaved)
- Cleaning Schedule - Sunday - rest - need to work on the work part!
- prayed about (and attended) church
- have yet to plan posts for the week ahead, I'll only type up for tomorrow before I turn in
- enjoyed a lie-in (thank you Hubs), much needed as I battle allergies/a bad headcold thing
- enjoyed an afternoon nap too en famille, a lovely thing indeed
- Consistency Challenges
--- Frumps to Pumps - done
--- Hydration (two-and-a-half litres) - not recorded or even close to met
--- Say Grace before dinner - nope, whoops
--- Smaller Portions/Sugar Fast (no chocolate) - neither were even on my radar as I gorged on chocolate before reboarding the wagon tomorrow
--- Tidying Time - general only
--- Walk with Sunny - nope
- Daily Do List - all done except for the following:
--- Catechism practice (25)
--- Moodscope
--- Prayer Sticks
--- Quick-cleans
--- Quiet Time

- Grooming Goal
--- didn't bite my nails but am suffering after doing so yesterday
- Half-hour Hope (folded laundry, gathered ironing, tidied away most gift wrapping supplies and gathered the rest to put away tomorrow, set out my clothes for tomorrow, packed all the wrapped Christmas gifts into the gift cupboard and glued more birds together)
- Beautifying (tidying away the efforts of the day)
- didn't attempt my Cleaning Schedule for Saturday
- packed baby bag for church

--- didn't even think about Moodscope
--- Quick-cleaned one bathroom
--- Quick-cleaned the kitchen counters
--- didn't even think about a quiet time today as I've gotten so out of the way once again - not good and needs to be rectified!!!!!
--- wrote in my review post yesterday that I needed to refocus on several daily do tasks and then promptly forgot, think I definitely do better with individual to do posts for each day as it keeps me more on task, I've added my focus tasks onto my Christmas Preparations post for tomorrow so hopefully what needs to get done will be
Sis#1 is pushing to start into 42D2F and I know I should I just don't want to! I'll be beginning to prepare for it this coming week though, with the plan to start it fully on the folowing Monday (day 74). Gulp!!!!

Day 64 - Review + CP (Take 1)
Today I:
- discussed Christmas with Hubby and decided to definitely purchase the traidcraft nativity, do a bit ore research before choosing one to buy Sunny for Christmas and I'm going to think a little more about buying the Hanukiah; unfortunately Hubby vetoed the nativity ducks :(
- we also got a jump on Christmas Preparations by writing our gift list and deciding budget and what we still need to buy (as it turns out very little, I'm way more organised than I thought)
- we also chatted about the envelope addressing (I bought clear printable address labels earlier in the year in preparation) and we still have to type up most of our address book (we'll split that chore), then I'll format them and we can print them out before assigning cards and writing them (Hubby's job usually)
- Grooming Goal
--- nibbled my nails a lot today - not good and gonna hurt later today/tomorrow
--- soaked, cleansed and redressed my (increasingly painful) infected toe
- Half-hour Hope (glueing birds and laying out felt birds and owls from a craft set)
- Beautifying (see above)
- Cleaning Schedule for Friday - nope
- We chose not to attend the Tots' group today as we're keeping Sunny in, loser around the nappy, pyjamas and as it was the gathering that would include older (rougher, off-school) siblings, we thought it wiser to stay away. We did enjoy a little errand to the bakery though and treated ourselves to lovely fresh seeded bread etc.
- planned to watch Luther in celebration of Reformation day but frankly too tired
- Consistency Challenges
--- Frumps to Pumps (get dressed after my lie-in, wore earrings, have chosen to stop texting my sister)
--- Hydration (two-and-a-half litres) - haven't been keeping track but doubt I was even close
--- Say Grace before dinner - how do I find this so hard to remember
--- Smaller Portions - hahahaha
--- Sugar Fast (no chocolate) - nope, nope, nope
--- Tidying Time - general not specialised
--- Walk with Sunny - up and down the street the bakery is on
- Daily Do List - have gotten out of the habit of several elements - cornerstones - as I've reverted to bad habits - tomorrow the elements I need to focus on are:
--- Committing the day to God in prayer
--- Laying out the next day's clothes
--- Moodscope
--- Quick-clean bathrooms and kitchen
--- Quiet Time

Day 63 - Review
Today I:
- Grooming Goal
--- kept from biting my nails
--- trimmed and filed Sunny's fingernails
- Half-hour Hope (sewed four items - a pair of my leggings, woollen tights and a cardigan as well as a pj top of Sunny's also beginning to make simple felt birds using a cheap crafting kit from asda)
- Beautifying (tidying the hall of excess baby bag itms)
- didn't attempt my Cleaning Schedule at all but unwittingly did straighten the hallway
- managed to remember to say Grace and tidied in the hall etc. so two out of seven for my Consistency Challenges, also have ceased "reminding" my sister daily of the FtP challenge as I don't get the impression she even reads them
- Daily Do List (wrote my last 31 days post, moodscope is being sorely neglected and my dedicated quiet times have also gone a little by the way. I have been spending time contemplating scriptures but not so much actually sitting down to really focus in. I have a catechism devotion book to work through and think it might help refocus me on more serious study)
- Praise the Lord Sunny is in fine fettle!

Day 59 - Review
Today I:
- failed miserably at my Grooming Goal and bit my nails! but did redress my (very infected) toe
- spent my Half-hour Hope on my Beautifying goal and redressed my small display unit with scrapbook paper backgrounds, really makes our little treasures *pop*
- followed my non-existent Cleaning Schedule
- Prayed about church attendance etc. and Sunny almost made it through (coming out just before the last prayer/hymn) despite a very unsettled night and not so good mood this morning. I spent the first half of creche catching up with R and the second half cuddling a distraught, sleepy and teething toddler J - oh the gorgeousness of cuddles when their whole bodies just sink into you
- Enjoyed time in the afternoon with my beloved Hubby and in the evening as we watched Downton Abbey.
- Also had a nice evening with the parentals for dinner, with talk of their pre-Christmas travels and returned home to enjoy a read aloud of the first chapter of our new "family book" - Sunny is too young to appreciate this but happily played while Hubs and I savoured the story
- Planned out my posts for the week ahead or at least I will after I hit publish on this :)
- managed two out of seven of my Consistency Challenges - oops
- managed most of my Daily Do List though I didn't do Moodscope (again) or have much of a quiet time and whilst I laid out Sunny's clothes, I didn't kay out my own (though I'll mostly be wearing today's outfit recycled)
- got the sad news that my Granda broke his hip and is hospitalised indefinitely, including needing to have an operation to set things aright. To be honest he will more than likely not be able to return to living on his own and whilst it will break his heart (he never wanted to leave the home he shared with his bride - Nanny) the social aspect of elderly care would do him the world of good. I've sorely neglected him of late but at least the hospital stay garnered him visits from my cousins etc. I'll not get down to visit before Sunny's op on Wednesday and for who knows how long afterwards. It's just hit me as I type this - my baby's op is in three days - I've really been blocking it from my mind and have peace about it but phew it still scares me.

Day 58 - Review
Today I:
- spent my Half-hour Hope enjoying a "date" and a snuggle up on the sofa with Hubby
- Beautified my bedside cabinet by clearing the clutter
- Cleaned our clothing and bedding
- packed the baby bag for church
- managed four of my seven Consistency Challenges
- did all of Daily Do List except Moodscope

Day 57 - Review
Today I:
- used my Half-hour Hope to FINALLY CANCEL MY LIST SUB - HOORAY!!! but did nothing else
- Beautified my home by tidying away the freshly laundered (but don't currently fit me) spring/summer clothing that needed a quick wash after (far too many) years in clothing storage
- Cleaned the baby, after meals - does that count, I don't care if it doesn't, to me it counts - ha!
- Hubs changed the bed
- tried to organise a visit to Gerta and co. but they're down with a bug
- wasn't consistent on any of my Consistency Challenges but did get outside (albeit breifly) with Sunny
- didn't do all of my Daily Do List:
--- I put out Sunny's clothes but not mine for tomorrow, though I'll probably just recycle today's outfit more or less
--- I didn't do Moodscope, feeling too down and didn't want it confirmed
--- Didn't quick-clean either bathroom or the kitchen/sink
--- failed to have a quiet time but did complete the rest

Day 55 - Review
Today I:
- followed one out of three of my Grooming Goal tasks, I trimmed toenails for Sunny and I and also Sunny's fingernails, I cleaned my (infected once more) toe last night and again this morning but have yet to salt soak it (which will hurt)
- used my Half-hour Hope to continue with the scarf knitting only to have to rip out most of it due to a dropped stitch, something I haven't done for years.
- Beautified my evening by getting back into the rhythms of my life and sorting out my laundry
- failed to follow any of my Cleaning Schedule or cancel my list sub.
- Prayed for my FIL and got updates through my Hubby
- Prayed for Hubby as he continued his work training trip and faced a presentation
- Tutored Cl and E
- Didn't read or text about the 42D2F challenge
- failed at all three of my Consistency Challenges as I didn't get dressed until near two as I waited until after my shower and didn't get Sunny dressed until after his nap, I didn't meet my Hydration goal or even record my intake and I forgot to say Grace
- didn't follow much if my Daily Do List, I didn't bleach the toilets, complete moodscope, clean the bathrooms or kitchen, have a quiet timeand I haven't writeen a post for tomorrow yet, we shall see if I do or not

Day 54 - Review
Today I:
- did a very little bit of knitting for my extremely delayed Half-hour Hope
- Beautified by tidying up the mess of not caring while Hubby is away
- Cleaning Schedule - nope
- Met Gerta and Lilo for a walk, got rained on then headed for an indoor (free) playplace before we (Sunny and myself) got Sunny a new (bigger) shirt to match his wee Sunday suit, called to the wool shop (yay - red wool), shoe shop (hello, flat "maryjanes" and a treat for someone special) and dropped off an early (can already be used 17-month calendar) Christmas gift with Sis#1
- Brought the rest of yesterday's shopping in from the car
- Had Dad drop car and tyre down to mechanics, new one to be collected tomorrow
- Read chapter four of "100 lbs Loser" e-book and didn't text about it but will tomorrow
- Had a catch-up with Mama while Sunny played then tutored M after dinner and enjoyed a catch-up with her Mama while M and Sunny had some playtime - they're so cute together
- managed to have a Walk with Sunny, Say Grace and wasn't far off my Hydration goal of my Consistency Challenges
- did most of my Daily Do List but not all; bit checked out as Hubs is away with work and also wasn't home very much today, no plans to leave the house tomorrow so that'll improve my chances of getting things done

Day 53 - Review - Third Grace Day
Today I:
- couldn't seem to stop nibbling my nails, oh dear, I read through the chapter and in terms of journalling, "the next thing I can do is..." take my hand out of mouth! This Grooming Goal is going to be a mental challenge as much as anything I reckon. Didn't file, trim or paint my nails! Have decided to set this goal aside for now.
- didn't read the No-brainer Wardrobe and have made the decision to take a week off of this challenge, comtinuing with the FtP Consistency Challenges (beginning my day with God, getting dressed first thing, wearing earrings, tweezing my eyebrows and cleansing, toning and applying nightcream weekly and encouraging my sister)
- didn't follow the Half-Hour Hope challenge
- did Beautify my mind by learning how to knit a stripy scarf, thank you youtube
- didn't follow my Cleaning Schedule for Mondays
- Read chapter three of the "100 lbs Loser" e-book and continued to prepare for the upcoming 42D2F challenge
- Attended my optician's appt. with Sunny and picked up some groceries
- edited sidebar Scripture memory work
- called to my in-laws' with Hubs and Sunny before dropping Hubs to the airport; went round the superstore near the airport until I felt calm enough to drive/had a trolley load of bad foods/could stop myself from crying so all in all wasn't really home all that long today
- decided to give myself a grace day, watched a movie as soon as I had Sunny down for the night and am about to collapse into bed after I write tomorrow's post and have a quick quiet time, nightie night
- Didn't cancel list sub, complain and request refund which I really can't put off!!
- managed four out of six of my Consistency Challenges
- did a good deal of my Daily Do List and will regret not having laid out tomorrow's clothes in the morning, felt too miserable to complete Moodscope (have a cold and was desperately missing Hubs), have yet to unload/reload the dishwasher I put on this morning, need to clean the kitchen counters and will complete a (too-short) quiet time before bed

Day 52 - Review
Today I:
- Read chapter two of "100 lbs loser" e-book in preparation for the 42D2F challenge; skimmed through the rest of the 42D2F e-book and was thoroughly scared by the exercise - I am so unfit and think I will really struggle to fit the exercises into my day, they'll really need to be prioritised if I'm to succeed.
- Grooming Goal
--- read "TDWYCP" (The 'Do What You Can' Plan) chapter two
--- redefined (and expanded) my (interlinked) grooming goal(s). My mustard seed goals are...
--- to grow my fingernails and file them (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) so as to have fingernails that protect my fingers by completely covering the quick (the sensitive nailbed skin) and being smoothly edged to remove the temptation to bite them. I will consider my goal achieved when I have stopped having to think about it and have ceased even thinking about nibbling (though I recognise that this is probably going to take considerably longer than twenty-one days)
--- to have toenails that protect my toes and ward off infections (in-grown toenail infections especially) by letting go of my pathological need for short toenails and keeping them "grown-out" with the added need to trim them more regularly (perhaps weekly on Sundays) and file them to keep the edges smooth and negate my neuroses (scratching or catching my nails on myself/Hubs in bed, tights and socks). I will consider this goal achieved when I no longer worry about a return to ingrown toenail infections (after twenty-one LONG months of constant toe pain, ingrown toenail infections, several anti-biotics and FIVE unsuccessful nail surgeries).
- would classify my No-brainer Wardrobe challenge as...nope for the day
- used my Half-hour Hope to settle in with my Hubs for the weekly episode of Downton Abbey while knitting the scarf for Piotr's Friday birthday (second time lucky I hope for this scarf)
- Beautified my morning by spending time in conversation with the other crech leader and my afternoon by time with Hubby
- followed the non-existent Cleaning Schedule - hahaha
- re-read the final chapter of the Frumps to Pumps e-book; found I didn't need to go back through my lotions and potions as I'd maintained them since the last time, text my sister tomorrow's challenge details, and reflected on the FtP challenge just before I turned in
- Planned out most of the posts for the week ahead, though I need to do a lot more praying and thinking over how to proceed with the 42D2F challenge
- almost met my Hydration goal (80%), remembered Grace, ate Smaller Portions, Sugar Fasted (even though Hubs was eating praline chocolates), didn't really Tidy and definitely didn't have a family Walk. So three out of six for my Consistency Challenges
- did my Daily Do List, getting to know Catechism Q&A's 22-23 pretty well, had very little "quiet time" today

Day 51 - Review
Today I:
- introduced my new challenge of "Grooming Goal" and nibbled at my nails during the early hours of the morning so a lovely big fail for what I had imagined my goal would be and for the day one task I had set myself, I also didn't file any nails. I did however read through to the end of the first chapter and it suggested taking my big goal of fabulously painted mid-length nails that adorn and cutting it diwn and down and down until I had my mustard seed of a goal. Faith as small as a mustrd seed can move mountains and with God's gentle voice I have my "Grooming Goal" for the next twenty-one days. My mustard seed goal is...
--- to have fingernails that protect my fingers by covering the quick (the sensitive nailbed skin)
- re-read/read the No-brainer Wardrobe (pg 16-19) but didn't go through my fashion board or do any analysing
- spent my Half-hour Hope and another few hours with Hubby, never a waste of time!
- Beautified my life through time with my lovely friends
- failed badly at my Cleaning Schedule for Saturday and did absolutely none of it
- managed to begin my day in prayer, get dressed before nine and cleanse, tone and moisturise, wear earrings, apply night cream and text Sis#1 tomorrow's challenge details, but didn't text a morning reminder to my sis or complete the reflective or purging elements of my Frumps to Pumps challenge. Did reclassify a posh cardigan from regular wardrobe to maternity wear after a glance in the mirror though!
- Enjoyed a wonderful morning with Sunny and two of my girlfriends, one's two children, and the other's nephew. We went to a soft-play centre and the kids had a ball; M described my Sunny as "manically happy" and he thoroughly enjoyed flying down the big kids slide, all by himself no less.
- Visited my Aunt-in-law with Hubs and Sunny to drop off her birthday gift and Sunny mimicked her name very well; he's making real progress with the talking, can't wait/also slightly dread hearing what's going on in his wee head
- managed four out of six for my Consistency Challenges, failing to walk (no time) or tidy (ditto)
- did my Daily Do List except for Moodscope and my Quiet Time could certainly have had more time or depth. My prayer life has definitely improved over the last couple of months of challenges though, for this alone I am truly thankful.

Day 49 - Review
Today I:
- sewed another three items (laundry hamper liner, pillowcase and cloth nappy), put away stragglers and printed out an anniversary present voucher and the journey guide (for 42D2F) for my Half-hour (really full hour) Hope
- Beautified one small corner of the nursery by clearing the stragglers (items set down and left for months instead of put away), dusting (Cleaning!) for tidying (Tidying Time)
- had no trouble following my Cleaning Schedule for LLL Thursday, namely none set, see above
- ate Smaller Portions
- worked through my Frumps to Pumps tasks though I struggled to settle my spirit enough to complete the meditative/reflective tasks
- Texted Vicky re books and happily returned home with both of them and my Breastfeeding Matters LLL members magazine
- Read a little more of the "42 days to fit" (42D2F) e-book (up to the end of Week One) and thought more about how to approach this challenge (slowly, surely and bathed in prayer)
- Attended LLL (and heard anout the LLL conference in March which we're considering attending en famille) and listened to the catechism CD en route, reviewing all Q&A's already memorised and finally getting a handle on Q&A 22
- Ordered Mayim Bialik's book along with next year's family wall calendar and one for my BIL for Christmas
- Also gave myself a little treat of ten extra stickers on my star chart for getting over a hundred followers (only three of which I know IRL) on Pinterest, silliness but I care not
- Ordered amazon voucher through Swagbucks
- The wonderful Hubster ordered a GI loaf and three crepes to collect tomorrow after Tots' group
- parked a teensy bit further away from the LLL class and enjoyed the leisurely pace of my excited but short-legged toddler, failed badly at my Hydration goal, remembered to say Grace (yay - thank you phone alarm), almost but didn't Sugar Fast, Tidied (see above) and Worshipped. So three out of five for my Consistency Challenges today
